Interview with Ravid Chowdhury on building start-ups in Bangladesh. Ravid is an American-Bangladeshi entrepreneur, founder, and investor. He began his career as an IGC Research Fellow with the London School of Economics supporting economic research studies in South Asia. Thereafter he worked in private equity based in New York, then Hong Kong. Ravid was the first CFO and  Seed investor in Pathao. While CFO he led the GO-JEK Series A investment into Pathao, and helped the company become Bangladesh’s first company to be valued over $100M. Thereafter, he was the lead of investor of Truck Lagbe’s Seed round and helped the company  raise a Series A from the IFC – World Bank. Ravid holds a MA in Finance from Columbia University in New York, and a BA from Wesleyan University in Connecticut.
